What to expect after treatment
- Mild redness or warmth in the treated area.
- Temporary whitening or frosting of the pigment immediately after treatment.
- Slight swelling or sensitivity for 24–48 hours.
- Gradual fading of pigment over the following 6–8 weeks.
- Most clients can return to normal daily activities immediately.
First 24–48 hours
- Keep the treated area clean.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the skin unnecessarily.
- Avoid saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms and excessive heat.
- Avoid heavy sweating for 24 hours.
- Do not apply retinol, acids or exfoliating skincare products.
- Avoid makeup directly over the treated area until any redness or sensitivity has settled.
- Apply a cool compress if needed.
Caring for your skin
- Wash gently with mild soap and water.
- Avoid picking, scratching or exfoliating.
- Protect the treated area from direct sunlight.
- Apply SPF 30–50 once the skin is comfortable and intact.
- Resume your normal skincare routine once any sensitivity has resolved.
When will my pigment fade?
Your laser treatment begins breaking down unwanted pigment immediately. Your body then gradually clears the fragmented pigment over the following weeks. Visible fading typically develops over 6–8 weeks, although results vary depending on pigment type, colour, depth and previous tattooing. Some cosmetic pigments may temporarily darken or change colour following laser treatment.
When can I have another treatment?
We recommend allowing approximately 8–12 weeks between treatments for optimal pigment clearance and skin recovery.

- Our goal is to achieve effective pigment removal with minimal disruption to the skin.
- Although most treatments involve little to no downtime, individual skin reactions can vary.
- Blistering, crusting and temporary pigmentation changes are possible with nanosecond laser treatments, even when treatment is performed correctly.
